Andrea Gibson Obituary
They were the current poet laureate of Colorado, and the recent award-winning documentary "Come See Me in the Good Light" profiled their marriage and terminal cancer diagnosis.
Gibson is being remembered for their emotionally charged spoken-word poetry on such topics as gender identity, grief, and mortality.

I´m glad that they don´t suffer anymore and still appreciated what time they had left. Their poetry taught me how to love and live in the moment. I thank them for their love and support during a very difficult time. I´m glad that I found them and consider myself blessed. Rest in eternal peace Andrea.

I´m so devastated to hear of their passing. Their influence on me is truly amazing. I learned that you can survive and even thrive after a traumatic event. I will never forget them for as long as I live. RIP Andrea.
