Our condolences to Juan. Andrea has always been my favorite and closest cousin...she was such a sweet person!
She will be missed but the memories we shared with her will always remain.

Our family will cherish the memories we shared with Andrea and Juan Antonio over the years. We are so blessed to have known her, and she will be remembered fondly.

Andrea Gil was a beloved friend and a compassionate woman who was selfless when caring for her family and friends. She supported them in many ways, assisting her father in maintaining his health through the charitable giving of her time, seeking resources to share with those in need, and facilitating social connections to newly arrived visitors. She appreciated people of all cultures and respected their life´s journeys. Likewise, she enjoyed the fine arts, music, movement, literature, and, most of all, travel. Andrea and her beloved husband, Juan Antonio Gil, spent many incredible seasons in the Department of Solola, Guatemala, creating classroom libraries with curated Spanish storybooks and eventually a Traveling Library Bus that will travel from school to school to continue to develop students' Spanish literacy and their love of reading, writing, and storytelling.
I will miss you very much, mi querida amiga, Andrea Gil.
