Andrea Gronley Obituary
Andrea was Born to John and Mildred on July 25, 1944 in St Paul's Hospital in Livermore. Andrea was raised in Sunol alongside her five siblings. At the age of 14, she gave her life to God. Andrea graduated from Amador Valley High School Class of 1962 and went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on a math scholarship for one year. During that time, she felt called to be a minister and returned home to work at Harper & Row Publisher before entering the work in 1969.
In her last few years she enjoyed gardening, feeding her pet chicken, working in the kitchen, going out for sliders at her favorite restaurant Corner Kitchen + the many local restaurants where she would visit with the wait staff, drinking coffee, and visiting with everyone that she crossed paths with.
Andrea is preceded in death by her brothers Paul and Stevie Gronley. She is survived by her brothers Eric (Lil) Gronley, Lorry (Marie) Gronley, her sister Johna (Dave) Coleman, and many nieces and nephews and extended family. A Funeral Service will be held on May 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pleasanton at the Club 7050 Johnson Dr. There will be a viewing at 10am. The family invites any who would like to stay for a light lunch and to visit after.

Dear Johnna and family,
I just recently heard about Andrea's passing. I would have liked to have gone to her funeral but I had already committed to something so couldn't make it.
Just wanted you to know that she's one special lady in my " book". She was always so pleasant, and helpful! Such a kind heart! I'm so grateful for her devoted life to God. I will be thinking of you and family these days ahead!

My husband and I remember Andrea's sweet influence in our lives. She was the younger companion of Kathleen Hutchins the year my husband began his walk with God.

Oh Auntie, such a beautiful ceremony yesterday! I know Grammy was there with open arms as it was the anniversary of her passing and it was the day we were laying you to rest!
I´m going to miss you. It´s like every time someone passes it´s like losing another piece of my puzzle. You and Auntie Johna ("The Girls") are pretty big pieces to quite a few puzzles.
You made a big difference in this little world.
I love you always.

So many beautiful, special memories I have of this beautiful, special lady! Wonderful times spent with the Gronley family. Andrea will be missed, but, we can be ever so very thankful that has entered into sweet rest. Joy and sorrow interwoven...love in all I see.
