Prof. Zelevinsky was a remarkable person, teacher and mathematician. I interacted with only on a few brief occasions (at a math olympiad, at the Underground Jewish University in Moscow, and here in Boston). Every interaction was memorable, productive and encouraging. I'm deeply sorry for your and our loss.

Katya, I'm so sorry for your loss. You spoke of your father often and I know you loved him dearly. I enjoyed hearing stories about your many trips abroad with him. I hope that you and your family can find comfort in those wonderful memories.

Katya,
We are praying for you and your family for the loss of your father.

When I lost my dad, I found comfort in Psalm 27:4,

One thing have I asked of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD,
all the days of my life,
to behold the graciousness of the LORD,
and to seek him in his temple.

May God's grace watch over you.
