Andreas was the most incredible person. He and I hung out for 3-4 years when i was in my teens. Practiced soccer together , listened to music, went to concerts. But i remember him as being there in a time when i was young and needed a good mate. Though he was 7 years older he always allowed me to hang with him and feel accepted. Will miss you and think of you. Cheers Michael

Typical Andres, well dressed where ever he went. Often imitated, never duplicated. Can't wait to see you again.

What a privilege it was to know Andres: to watch his spirit and prowess on the soccer field and to experience his smiles and respect for both teammates and those who cheered on the sidelines. My special love to his father, Juan, who raised such a special family. Long live the Lara heritage.

Andres was a very happy person and a good friend. Every time we got together, we always had some soccer tales and jokes to share. He will be missed.

Andres had such an infectious laugh. There was never a time whenever he would come into a room or conversation without having a good joke to tell and have it accompanied by his signature laugh. Andres had such a calming and soothing effect on everyone he was in contact with here at work.

Shortly after Andres' stroke and he had to go out on medical leave, I was at my desk at work and I could have sworn I heard Andres laughing down the hallway. I remembered being happy and sad at the same time. Happy for "hearing" his laugh, sad for knowing he wasn't actually there.

I am truly saddened that Andres is no longer with us physically but I am comforted to know that he is now at peace and free. I am truly honored to have known Andres throughout my working career at General Atomics. My heart goes out to Andres' immediate family as they have just lost a beautiful diamond in the rough. Prayers and Peace be with you!
