Andy and myself go way back to when he was a kid. Andy´s mom & dad played music with my dad and me on different occasions. I would sometimes watch Andy while his mom & dad played gigs at night. We´d toss a baseball around and I´d make popcorn and Jim & Judy would often bring an UNA pizza back after the gig. I´d been in touch with Andy through Facebook over the years. I was able to share several photos of his parents with him.
I know he enjoyed having those. We´d chat about music, magic and many things. During Covid many people were enjoying his songs he´d post. It was a pleasure to see what he would sing or play each time. He was a very talented man. He´ll be missed.

We sure talked about death and what comes after many times. What is left behind, how those around us would react and of course, the metaphysical aspect. I would have never imagined I would be typing this... right here... right now... on your obituary. I miss you, brother, you gave me an anchor and a light in some rough seas, and I am forever grateful. May your beautiful voice be joined with the choir of angels.

Andy was a long-time, long-distance, long-loved kindred spirit and one of the only people in this life that I considered and called "my friend." A multi-talented creator and doer of the arts, Andy was a cello and guitar master, piano player, music composer, performer, and teacher, lyricist, vocalist, poet, writer, philosopher, film critic, martial artist, chess devotee, baker, and disciple of many other esoteric disciplines. He was one of the most well-read people I've come into contact with, and he knew more about music, music theory, and music history than anyone that I have known. When I first met Andy, he played the first few notes of the Overture to Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro," and I yelled out, "Rachmaninoff!" We both had a good laugh. Goodbye, my good friend.

The day I stumbled upon Andy, I had no idea I'd found such a kindred spirit. He was one of my very best friends in the whole world, and I will always miss his daily wisdom and witticisms. The world lost one of its brightest minds when Andy left it. To his loved ones and friends, may you find comfort knowing he made his indelible mark. I will do my best to let his musical legacy shine for the world to see.
