BOS, 94

BARTOW - Andrew J. Bos, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Savannah Court Assisted Living in Bartow of natural causes.
Born October 31, 1918 in Kalamazoo, MI, to Dutch immigrants John & Bessie Bos. He lived a long, full life of 94 years. Mr. Bos and his wife Helen, who died in 2002, moved to Bartow in 1987. He was retired from Up Johns Pharmaceuticals in 1977 after many years. Andrew Bos was a friend, mentor, pastor, husband, father, grandfather and so much more. His Christian faith helped him through many trials through his life, and his experiences were passed on to others as true Christian wisdom. He was a part of the greatest generation and will never be forgotten for his greatness.
Mr. Bos is survived by his sister Irene Sterns of Kalamazoo,. Mi; his six children: David Bos of Fulda, MN, Ronald Bos of Winter Haven, FL, Jer Bos of Otsego, MI, Beverly Van Dyken of Scotts, MI, Joe Bos of Plainwell, MI, & Tom Bos of Bartow, FL; 25 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
His memorial service will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012, at 10:30 AM at the Church of God, 1460 E. Stuart St, Bartow, FL 33830. "The dead will be up and out of their graves, beyond the reach of death, never to die again" (1st Corinthians 15:53) Condolences to family at

Andy & Helen were friends & a great example of Jesus Love both in Kalamazoo, MI & Bartow, FL We will miss them, but know they're sitting at the feet of Jesus!

Andy, it was an absolute privilege to be your friend, and fellow church member. I will never forget having had the privilege of singing "Amazing Grace" to you about 2 weeks before you passed away. You raised your hands and said, "Hallelujah" several times. God's blessing and encouragement over your children and grandchildren. Rest in Peace.
