As a transplant to Utah from the West Coast in the 1970s, Andy was one of the first people I met while skateboarding in the summer of 1978. Andy was a genuine friend. Humble, fun loving and kind.
I would soon discover that Andy was an amazing skier. He was a pioneer in the sport of snowboarding in Utah. Whether on a skateboard in the summer or skis and snowboard in the winter Andy was truly amazing. As I rewind and replay some of the reels in my mind of Andy riding, it brings a smile.
I lost touch with Andy after his move to Colorado and regret not keeping in touch. I know where you are now my friend, and look forward to seeing you again. Love you brother.
God be with you till we meet again.

I remember Andy from probably 9th grade when I would sometimes go over to the University of Utah and skateboard by the fountain. He could always jump up to skateboard along the edge of the fountain, something I never dared to do. It's a fond memory of him, though.

I spent a fair amount of time skateboarding with Andy in Jr. High. He was always the one to beat, and nobody could keep up with him. Fearless, gutsy, and an all-around great guy. RIP, Andy!

The first time I met Andy was at 5th Street ramp. He may have been skating in top siders. We are friends and brothers. He let me try HIS snowbaord for my first time, he saved my friends life, he always had good things to say and his old Airwalk boots smelled bad. I love him and will for all of my life. Rip in Peace my good friend.

I have fond memories of skating Andy's backyard pipe with Chris and "Barney" and of course Andy. He turned me on to another pipe in the Romney's backyard down in Gilmer Park. There were a lot of vert ramps in Salt Lake back then. Andy and Arne were the best skaters in the valley. Many blessings.

I am a friend of Andy's, I met him through Harriet. She, by the way loved him so very much. Andy is a legend. Nobody would have known that because meeting him,he wasn't vein or anything close to it, though his bragging rights were for real! All my love to everyone that feels the sadness of missing Andy. I hope he gets a hole in one at the best coarse, he deserves it! rest in peace

I remember when I first met Andy I was 13 at Bonneville golf course. Andy asked if I wanted to go play golf and we became great friends from that moment on.
I enjoyed going to Andy´s house to swim, skate half pike and BBQ.
It has been fun to reconnect with Andy these past years.
See you on the next heaven T-Box Bud!
