Andrew W. Chase

Andrew William Chase, 54, born in Kansas City, Missouri, grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois, passed away in Lenexa, Kansas on September 15, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Fable Chase and brothers Steven Stuart and Jeffrey Philip Chase. Andy is survived by his father and stepmother William Stuart (Bill) and Jo Chase, sister and brother-in-law Suzanne Chase and Robert Osborne and nephew Jeffrey Philip (J.P.), sister-in-law Sarah and nieces Kristine and Kimberly Chase, aunt and uncle Donna and Rick Byers, cousins Sally Dycus and Ann McQueeney, and great uncle Donald Chase Martin. Andy was loved and cared for by his wonderful friend Wendy Manning. He enlisted in and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army serving the country he loved. He worked as a volunteer at Catholic Charities every Wednesday since 1999 and continued to inspire, as dedicated workers do. He loved music, the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas Jayhawks of which he attended many events with his friend Leroy Gower. Andy was a sweet, loving, tender man who will be missed by all who knew him. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road.
