SLESSOR, Robert Lewis 1926-2018 Peacefully in the arms of his Lord, we announce his passing at Niagara Health System, St. Catharines on May 4, 2018, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Miriam (nee Billett) for 70 years. Dear father to Cheryl (Harry) Miller, Elizabeth (Dennis) Bodden, Robert (Marlene) Slessor and Rev. Blake (Lois) Slessor. Cherished grandfather of David (Rebecca) Williams, Mark (Barbara) Williams, Stephen (Adele) Williams, Nathan (Bella) Bodden, Jeffrey (Melissa) Bodden, Lindsay Slessor, Rachel (Eduardo) Santos, Robert Slessor, Kenneth Slessor, Stephanie (Anthony) Carlo, Adam (Danielle) Slessor, Braden (Leah) Slessor, Cameron (Olivia) Slessor and Julia Slessor. Great-grandfather to Kristin, Brent, Kyle, Matthew, Carly, Samantha, Ashley (Brett) Liam, James and Judah. Great-great-grandfather to George. Predeceased by his parents the late Bert and Gertrude (nee Caldwell), his grandson Jonathan Williams, and by his siblings Ivan, Elizabeth, Alberta, Phyllis, Alma, Dwight, William (Bill), Mary, Gwenyth, Pauline and Don. Founder of Slessor Pontiac Buick GMC in 1955, Bob served the community in Grimsby and surrounding area for over 55 years establishing great friendships along the way. He was also known for his advocacy and support for The Gideons and Galcom International sharing his faith in all languages possible with many around the world. He will be dearly missed. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 3- 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and at Compass Point Bible Church, 1500 Kerns Road, BURLINGTON on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12 p.m. Interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
