Andrew Dennis Jr. of Sterling died Wednesday night at Wayne Memorial Hospital following an illness, surrounded by his loving family and wife of 61 years, Sally (Tuerff) Dennis.
Born in Sullivan County, Pa., son of the late Andrew and Helen Plaskon Dennis, he was a salesman for more than 36 years for Hostess Cake and served his country in the United States Army for four years, stationed in Germany.
Andrew took great pride in his family, home and had great passion for camping.
Also surviving are daughters, Tammy Hamill and her husband, Jim of Belvidere, N.J., and Wendy Rice and her husband, Jim of Layton, N.J.; brothers, Robert and Roger; grandchildren, Jimmy, Stephanie, Justin and Matthew.
Viewing arrangements are Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in Sterling United Methodist Church, 567 Sterling Road, Sterling, PA 18463, followed by a memorial service at 11. Family and friends are welcomed to a brunch afterwards.
Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sterling United Methodist Church, 567 Sterling Road Sterling, PA 18463.
