Andy, he was easily the most approachable and friendly spirit in the seemingly never ending corridors of the OHS (high school) building where we attended school, as well as wrestled. I was always finding difficulties in making and having any sort of normal social life. Socially I struggled greatly, and Andy either acted as if he couldn't see these social barriers and challenges, as well as perceive my awkwardness in school, or truly didn't see them because his golden aura was so far undermining and overwhelming to any negativity within a ball field's radius of himself, simply turning the lights on in dark places, as well as lighting the fire of the reluctant, young wrestlers in the cold hallways of the school during LONG winter break practice runs. Wed run for two hours. Andy would be cheering all of us on all the way, in such a way it actually seemed to carry all of us on when it was reaching the point of exhaustion for most the guys out there. Dr. Flick repaired my face after being hit w a fastball, too, just before high school started. He did a wonderful job, and made me comfortable when I was overly nervous for surgery. In any event, the loved ones survived by Andy, I am so sad for the broken hearts im sure you bear right now. I'm amazed at what hed done in his years after school.... reading here now, still shocked that Andy succumbed to ANYTHING period. He was the overall most positive and friendly person I think I ever knew in my youth. Andy, from the awkward one with no friends, you literally got me thru plenty of class hours that otherwise would've yielded themselves too much for me to handle...I pray you truly and without hesitation merged with that white holy light of heavens all. So again your loved ones, and myself, may again be with you when we pass into the white light of heaven too. Until then my friend, I hope u got to the heaven where all of the people u love were already there waiting for you. I'm sure u did. Can't wait to catch up on the flip side.
Elephant handler?! Only you Andy.

I met Andy and Kristen back when we were interning and working at the zoo with the elephants. We only had a few months working together but he is one of the most memorable people I´ve ever met. His energy was infectious. He worked hard but always with a smile and always having a great time and joking around. He had the best and loudest laugh. I only saw him a couple other times post-internship but each time I saw him he was just as friendly and welcoming as ever. Sending strength to Kristen and thinking about you.

I met Flick in the dorms freshman year at Mizzou. Even tho he transferred back home, he made a huge impact on his college friends. He was the life of the party, even if it was just a floor hang. We´ve all been texting about how no one packed so much fun into one life like he did-how we wish we´d stayed in touch better. I remember he loved his beloved Brewers but reluctantly cheered with us for the Cardinals in the playoffs that year. I also randomly remember that he loved the song "In the Summertime" by Mungo Jerry. Just re-listened and the chorus goes, "Life´s for livin,´ yeah that´s our philosophy." That´s so Flick! RIP, buddy. MIZ! And to all he loved, sending you comfort with each memory.

As a child, Andy became my first friend in a new neighborhood when my family moved to Oconomowoc. I will never forget being in the hot tub at his house in the midst of winter, jumping out and rolling in the snow, then quickly hopping back in the hot tub to warm back up!
In summer months, my favorite memories with Andy include jumping on his trampoline while blasting Spice Girls music; and going raccoon hunting in the evenings with his dad; I don't recall ever seeing any, however Dr. Flick sure pranked us good a few times!
Andy and I were inseparable for many years during our elementary school days.
I'll always remember his great sense of humor, his heart of gold and a sincerity about him that was unmatched.

I met Andy when we interviewed for the CSU vet school program on the same day. We were on a group tour of the teaching hospital, and got to chatting about our experiences with animals, and what sort of medicine we wanted to practice. I think we were all surprised when the guy who looked like a polished businessman told us he used to travel with the circus and wanted to work on elephant research. He said it casually, but anyone could tell that his passion for these creatures ran deep. That was Andy, always defying expectations in his own understated way, making people laugh, and going all out for what he cared about.

Thank you for embracing me as part of your family from the very beginning. I´ll always remember drinking some beers on your parent´s outdoor area and having the quiet chats that turned into loud laughter as all the Flicks joined in. Our visits to Colorado. Conversations about the kiosk business when I helped you and your classmates on your school project. Always quick to throw in a joke. I´m going to miss you terribly, but thank you so much for the memories and the love you shared so openly. See you on the other side Andy.

I will miss you so much Andy! I will miss the times when I try to throw my "Mackenzie punches" at you, but you effortlessly would hold a hand up and block my arm. Then say ooooh I'm so scared! Our sibling banter was always so so fun and we never matured out of it. That's what made our relationship so light-hearted!
Another favorite memory was when my husband, Xavier, and I said our "I do's" at the courthouse and you announced that I was Xaviers problem now. Everyone in the room agreed. Even me. Nothing like a good brother to call that out!
When we meet again, I will be excited to pick up where we left off. The laughs, the teasing, all of it! Love you Andy Pandy! See you on the other side!

I am so very sorry for the loss of such an exceptional young man. I knew when he was a sweet little first grader in my classroom that he was going to do extraordinary things. My condolences to his family as I know this loss will be very difficult. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I worked with Andy for a few years, and I was always SO psyched whenever I found out he was on the same shift as me. He was so diligent and hardworking, kind and relaxed, sand he led by example with the biggest heart. He always made fun of how I did my hair, and sometimes when I knew we were working together, I´d make sure to do my hair weird so he´d laugh. I´m so grateful to have known him and I´m so sorry to know he´s gone. Rest in peace, Andy. Sending love to Kristin and Mabel.

My heart breaks for you, Kristen, and for the rest of Andy´s family. Both of you fought so hard. I wanted that miracle for Andy and for your little family unit so you guys could spend healthier days together and grow old together. You did everything you possibly could to make his days and your days together rich and full of love and I could see he felt every bit of your heart. Sending love your way, my dear cousin. Andy was a genuine & funny guy. So enjoyable to be around. He & Kristen came to Puerto Vallarta and stayed with me a few years back. They were great house guests and came & went on adventures on their own. It is almost unbelievable he was taken from us at such an early age. Just SAD!

I'm so incredibly sorry to hear about Andy's passing. Andy and I interned together at Ringling Brothers, and he throughout our strenuous internship, he was always a beacon of light and positivity. He worked harder than anyone I know, and was such an important member of our squad. The oldest in our group, we fondly nicknamed him "Flick Daddy," and he was part of the glue that held us all together. I will always keep him in my thoughts.

A busy downtown block, and nowhere to sit. Kristen invited us to share her table outside of Slyce, this new pizza joint in town. Two of the most genuine people we have ever met. We will treasure the time we knew Andy.

Andy was the most incredibly kind and thoughtful guy. He will always be an inspiration, as he lived his life with such courage, love, and grace. Even while navigating this most difficult path, he maintained his sense of humor and concern for others. His love for Kristen was apparent in everything he did. He will be deeply missed, but his indomitable spirit will live on. He truly was a shining example of a life well lived.
Always in my heart with love,

Mark and I were walking down the sidewalk on his and Kris wedding day. We walked by a barber shop and just happen to see Andy getting his hair cut with the cape around him. He knew exactly who we were by calling us by name. We had only met him
The day before . We shared a happy
Conversation and why wouldn´t it be? He was getting married later that day.

Andy was not only my boss at Slyce for 4 years, but also a dear friend. He pushed me to be better at my job while being supportive and kind. If I was having a bad day, I would be happy to see I was working with someone who would make me laugh. Often times, his first words to me at the start of the shift were "You got any jokes for me today, Big Cheese?" I would Google jokes before work just for him. He was somehow so serious and focused, but silly at the same time. I will to carry his attitude towards life with me for the rest of mine, as well as his memory. Sending all my love to him and his loved ones left behind
