Oscar Salazar Obituary
El Paso - Oscar Salazar, 96, passed away peacefully in El Paso on October 29, 2019 after a brief illness.
Oscar was born in El Paso on December 19, 1922, oldest of four children. His proudest memories were of his service to his country in Epernay, France, during WWII.
Oscar is survived by daughter Sally De La Garza on El Paso, son Oscar Salazar of Tucson, granddaughters Layla Salazar-Palomino, Samantha Salazar, and Sarah Stayton, great granddaughter Maya De La Torre, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 06, 2019 from 5 to 9pm with a Prayer Service to begin at 6pm at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave. El Paso, Tx 79903. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday November 07, 2019 at 10:30am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
Oscar Salazar, de 96 años, falleció pacíficamente en El Paso el 29 de octubre del 2019 después de una breve enfermedad. Oscar nació en El Paso el 19 de diciembre de 1922, siendo el mayor de cuatro hijos. Sus recuerdos de mayor orgulloso fueron del servicio a su país en Epernay, Francia, durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. A Oscar le sobrevive su hija Sally De La Garza, de El Paso, su hijo Oscar Salazar, de Tucson, sus nietas Layla Salazar-Palomino, Samantha Salazar y Sarah Stayton, su bisnieta Maya De La Torre, y numerosas sobrinas, sobrinos y primos. Su familia y amigos lo echarán mucho de menos. Los servicios se llevarán a cabo el miércoles 6 de noviembre dela 2019 de 5:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. con el servicio de oración a las 6:00 p.m. en Funeraria Del Angel Central, en el 3839 Montana Ave. El Paso, TX 79903. El servicio de entierro se llevará a cabo el jueves 7 de noviembre del 2019 a las 10:30 a.m. en el cementerio nacional de Fort Bliss.

Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in Europe fighting the Germans during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
