Andrew Ellis Harrelson

Harrelson, ANDREW ELLIS, 76, of Lakeway, died Sunday, December 22, 2002. Born in Anniston, Alabama on January 8, l926, Andy served with the 9th Infantry in WWII, As a student, he graduated in 1944 from Mabelvale High School then attended The University of Arkansas in Little Rock and Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Andy retired from Mobil Oil Corporation in 1983 where he had spent his entire professional career. Andy and Miriam, his wife of 52 years, moved from Dallas to Lakeway in 1991. In addition to being an avid golfer, he was an active member of the Lakeway community, serving on the Architectural Review Board and the Board of Adjustment. He was also an enthusiastic with Friends of the Parks. Andy is survived by his wife, Miriam, his son, Chris, his wife, Jan and their children, Gray and Elizabeth of San Rafael, California and his daughter, Melissa Salafia, her husband, Bob and their children, Chase, Connor and Andrea of Durango, Colorado. The family wishes to thank the ER and ICU staff at Brackenridge Hospital, with special thanks to Chaplain Edward Barsagi and nurses, Tim Conley and Mary Harris. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, December 27, 2002 at The Lakeway Church, located at 2203 Lakeway Boulevard, Lakeway, Texas.
