Andrew Malone Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 24, 2024.
Andrew Alexander Malone, age 35, of Nashville, TN, passed away on April 21, 2024 due to unexpected medical complications related to ITP. Born on January 20, 1989, in Dallas, Texas, Andrew was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Andrew is survived by his wife Colleen Francis, his parents John Mark Malone and Connie Casad Malone, his brothers Matt (Brittany) Malone and Mitchell (Casey) Malone, his in-laws Steve and Sandra Francis, Jessica (David) Fichter, Michael (Heather) Francis. Andrew was a doting uncle to his 6 nieces and nephews, and an exceptional friend to his many wonderful close friends in Dallas, Nashville, and across the country.

One of the most important and memorable days of his life was October 3, 2015 when family and friends gathered in Franklin, TN to celebrate marriage to Colleen, his best friend, his soul mate and the true love of his life as he was of hers. Never to miss a unique moment, their wedding was filled with love and laughter amidst a land born hurricane offering everyone in attendance an unforgettable week of joy and fellowship.

Andrew was a graduate of Highland Park High School and Belmont University, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Music Business Production. Andrew excelled as the Manager of Media Production at Shore Capital Partners, launching their company wide podcast series. He had an unparalleled love of life, finding joy in roller coasters and theme parks, particularly Disney World. He was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. His creative spirit shone through his love for podcasting, videography, photography, and music, where he shared his talents through his guitar performances, both solo, and with his bands, Allyview and Circuit Sound.

Known affectionately by friends and family as "Plandrew" for his talent in organizing memorable experiences, he spent his final year with Colleen, celebrating the Rangers' World Series victory and treasuring trips to Disney World, New Orleans, witnessing the eclipse in Dallas, and visiting the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. Andrew was known for his infectious laughter, warm smile, unwavering loyalty, and his undeniable ability to light up any room.

A reception in celebration of Andrew's life will be held by his colleagues at Shore Capital Partners on April 26, 2024, at 2:00 pm, located at 1600 West End Ave. Suite 1950, Nashville, TN followed by drinks at El Fuego on Gallatin Pike at 4:30pm.

His funeral service, arranged by St. Jude Oak Cliff will take place at Cliff Temple Sanctuary on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 3:00 pm, 134 West 10th St Dallas, Texas. Attendees are strongly encouraged to don attire representing their favorite sports teams to honor Andrew's love of sports. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Dream on 3 (North Texas) in memory of Andrew Malone. The mission of Dream on 3 is to create experiences of joy, hope, and encouragement for children and young adults with life-altering conditions through the world of sports. Andrew will forever be with us in our hearts. His steady presence, his smile, his laugh, his love for Colleen, his love for his friends and family... although I feel deep grief, I find comfort knowing his generous and encouraging spirit will remain with us until the end of time. The love will always be there.

The 1st time I met Andrew he could tell I was unnerved by all the people { I come from a very small family] He took the time to talk to, telling me they did' ntbite. I will miss him so much.

Mark, Connie, Matt and Mitchell,
I am truly devastated to hear the news of Andrew's untimely passing. I absolutely treasure the times with the boys when they were young, and Angela was caring for them.
I remember that in my fill in caretaker work with my sister, Andrew was so kind and accommodating when Mitchell was young. Andrew would happily find something else to do when Mitchellada wanted to watch The Land Before Time for the 120th time. Andrew was truly a good soul.
I was able to see on social media when he joined KTCK in Dallas, and we had some Facebook chats over his role when he joined them in 2016, as I had worked there as well, likely when I was visiting the boys with Angela. He was naturally full of hope and promise.
As a fervent listener to KTCK, he was very well liked and extremely talented- you can tell when the on-air staff doesn't call you out for technical glitches.
I will always remember my little buddy in my mind and in my heart. Though he grew up to be such an amazing man, husband, and uncle, the vision of him for me is still in the late 1990s.

I offer my sincere condolences,
Mark Plese

Although I didn´t know him very long I saw the love and fun in him and his family and relationship with his wife and it was infectious and admirable. I´m glad I got to meet him. I will forever be in gratitude for the joy he brought and the memories we shared in learning to play Klask and crying laughing with him and his family and friends in pure happiness.

I never got to meet you personally but I remember when you were born my parents your Uncle Edwin and Aunt Judy raved about you. We always heard about all of you in Texas from your Grandmother and GG. They always kept us updated on everything yall did. So rest well my friend and we will get to meet soon.

Mark and Connie, I pray you both are in the warm embrace of your loved ones, finding solace and strength during this unimaginably difficult time. I wanted to extend my deepest sympathies and offer my heartfelt condolences hearing the devastating news of Andrew's passing. Being another mother of three sons, we have that in common and I always enjoyed getting an update about them during my appointments. Words alone cannot express the sorrow that fills my heart for your loss. Losing a child is a pain that no parent should ever have to endure, and my thoughts and prayers are with you both as you navigate through this agonizing journey of grief. Laura and Brook Smith

For some reason I found that Andrew had the best laugh! Every time he started laughing I started laughing. New Orleans will always be in my heart. RIP friend.

I clearly remember Andrew wedging himself into a narrow space under our deck to rescue our dog who was scared by fireworks. He came out filthy dirty but was a true hero to little Cocoa. We love you Colleen, Steve, Sandra and all the family. Andrew was one of a kind

I will always remember Andrew and Colleen's wedding. Yes, the weather was out of the ordinary, but so was the love in evidence on that stormy evening. Sending love to Colleen and the whole family.

We remember Andrew´s joyful smile every time we saw him!

He was such a sweet match for Colleen through thick and thin. He could always be found entertaining the small children in the family and he was a true planner. We so enjoyed hearing the stories from Francis Disney trips!!!

Love knowing he is in the presence of our Lord!
