So sorry to hear this. As one of his customers I can honestly say he will be missed both professionally and personally. He was a very knowledgeable, down to earth honest gentleman.
I felt like he was a friend of mine. And on a selfish note I have no idea where to go for glasses now!

I was shocked to learn Andy passed away so suddenly. I am sorry.
The first time I went to his store to fix one of my nose pads was over 15 years ago. He didn´t charge me a dime and corrected the temples. I thought, wow, such a good young man. From then on, I bought my prescriptions for him every year and we often chatted about hiking. I still have his note telling me where to go. I shall miss him dearly.

I was very saddened to hear that Andy passed away last month. My dental office was next to his Opticians office, until I moved down the street. I had an issue just at the end of November with broken piece on my surgical magnifying loupes that had to be screwed back into place. Not having the appropriate equipment, we brought it in to Andy, who not only repaired it while we waited, but then refused to take any type of payment for it. I only wish that I could have repaid this kindness before he passed. May he rest in peace.

I just found out today that Andy passed away, I have been going to the store for years for my contact lenses. I loved to see his dogs when he had them and I always enjoyed our conversations about animals, wildlife,...etc. Such a kind, knowledgeable man. Makes me so sad to hear this, sending prayers and condolences , so sorry,Heather Tamke

I live in the neighborhood and just heard of Andrew's death. I'm shocked and truly sorry to hear about this. I've been buying my glasses from him for years and always enjoyed our interesting conversations. Loved seeing his beautiful dogs back in the day. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

Andrew was the only person I bought my eyeglasses from for the last decade or more. We used to have long conversations about " everything under the sun." I went by last week to order a new pair of glasses, and the store was closed. I knew this was odd, because Andrew was always open on a very regular basis. I am very sad to hear that he passed away. I will miss him very much! He was one of the nicest guys I´ve ever met. Sincerely, and fondly, Margaret Bernier.

The way he was made the shop a destination. Take a stroll down to Metz for a chat, a peruse of the specs. It's that seeing someone and being seen, part of the neighbourhood. I will miss having him there at the end of my walk.

Saw Andy almost daily as I've been his fedex driver for over 15 years. Always looked forward to stopping in to say hello and chat. He will be missed.
