Andrew Raucci Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 3, 2025.
North Hampton - Andrew Mattison Raucci, 43, of North Hampton, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Katherine (Lowell) Raucci.

Born in New York City to Marian Mattison and Marshall Raucci Jr., Andrew lived many lives and had more experiences and careers than most others in his brief 43 years. He was raised in East Greenwich, RI and attended Bishop Hendricken High School. Rhode Island fostered his love for fishing and surfing, passions he aspired to pass down to his children. Growing up, he spent many winters skiing and teaching snowboarding in Waterville Valley, NH. It was on the mountain where he first met Kate, who years later became his wife.

Following his graduation from Pepperdine University in 2004, Andrew commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He ascended in rank to Captain and honorably served his country in Iraq as a Tank Platoon Commander. He was proud to serve his country; that service went on to define a core piece of his being. Andrew often said one of his greatest blessings was bringing all his guys home. After his honorable discharge from the Marines, he earned his M.B.A. from the University of Rhode Island and worked in the financial service industry as a portfolio manager.

Andrew and Kate reconnected on Christmas day in 2013 and were married at St. Matthew's in Plymouth, NH during the summer of 2015. After marrying, they moved to North Hampton, NH to raise their growing family. Andrew, continually seeking new challenges or hobbies, left his job working for a prominent bank and embarked on a new career as an electrician. He was accepted into The IBEW Local Union 490 apprentice program, obtained his Journeyman License and quickly became a Master Electrician. He then went on to start his own union electrical contracting business - Veterans Electric, LLC in 2023. Throughout his life he was active in the community, serving on several boards for different nonprofit organizations, committees within IBEW Local Union 490, and, most recently, was a member of the Budget Committee for the Town of North Hampton.

Andrew loved deeply and completely, was extraordinarily loyal, and was passionate about always learning. You could find him most nights dancing in the kitchen with his wife or wrestling on the floor with his children. He leaves behind a legacy of a life well lived and a heartbroken family.

In addition to his wife, Andrew is survived by his children, Andrew "Finn", Jax, and Coraline, his parents Marian Mattison and Marshall Raucci, Jr., his brother Marshall "Tripp" Raucci and his wife Cristen Raucci, brother William Raucci and his wife Nancy Raucci, father-in-law John Lowell and his wife Carrie Lowell, sister-in-law Madison Hardy, brother-in-law Trevor Lowell and his wife Emily Lowell as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Hunter Adelaide Raucci, brother-in-law Tyler David Hardy, and loving grandparents.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Andrew for a period of visitation on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at St. Michael Church, 9 Lincoln Street, Exeter, NH 03833. I just learned of the passing of Andrew. We first met his parents Marion and Marshall over 40 years ago. Lynne and I pray for healing of their broken heart from this loss.

I first remember running into Andrew at Narragansett beach it was a colder day and he was wrapped up in sweats and a hoodie as the wind blew and waves crashed. He and his brother Tripp were both lifeguards and were role models for my friends and I who were entering into Hendricken and were looking to join the ranks of the guards at Gansett. I have many memories at the beach and beyond with Andrew and his brothers Tripp & Will. Andrew was respected, classy & looked up to. My prayers are with his family and friends today, he will be missed. -Garrett Cooke
