Still missed!
Kristen Satariano
October 13, 2007
I am extremely behind the times in news and just heard today about the death of Andrew. While I didn't know him, I have extremely fond memories of Tom and Pete from fifth grade--and of your family as a whole, and I am so sorry that you have suffered this loss. My prayers will be with you and your whole family.
May God's peace cover you...especially through the upcoming holiday season.
Much love,

Andrew was the most beautiful person I have ever met. His wavy thick dark hair along with his twinkling eyes were one of a kind. But it was his smile and gentle nature that made him so special. He was so kind. I will miss him forever!

Andrews Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Its horrible news to take. Remember Jesus is always with you and he will never let you down or leave you, no matter how abandon you feel. Be strong in the Lord. Psalm 23:4 says, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil, foryouare with me; your rod and your staff,
they comfort me."
My deepest prayers are with you. God bless your family.

To the family of Andrew,
I had the opportunity of getting to know Andrew when he was a junior at The Kiski School for a short while. He lived down the hall from me and I will always remember how funny he was. I still even have some of the art he did for me. He was a great kid and really inspired me to get into art. He will be greatly missed.

The days have passed since I got the terrible news about Andrew, and I still can't believe it is real. I think of you every day. As I read the messages from so many of his friends and their families, I am so sorry I didn't have the chance to know him personally. It is clear that he brought joy to so many people. My heart breaks for you. You are in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of your beloved Son's passing. Your family are in many people's thoughts and prayers. Here is a little poem that might help...We little knew that day, that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hears to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you that day. You left us happy memories, your love is still our guide and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing will be the same, but as God calls us one by one, our family chain will link again. May you find peace.

Dear Schweers Family,
I had the privelage of going to middle school with Andrew. He was always a pleasure to be around because of his great personality and sense of humor. I don't think I could name a time I talked to him where I didn't laugh or smile. I express my deepest sympathy to all of you, and if it makes things any easier to handle, just know he's now in a better place.

Dear Schweers' Family-
I knew Andrew throughout most of high school and even after but saw him sparingly. When I did, he would make the whole environment light up. Everyone was wearing smiles when he was around. He was such a special and extraordinary human being. I was so sad to hear about our loss. By our loss, I mean all that were blessed to know him. He holds a special place in everybody's heart. I send my deepest condolences to the whole family throughout these harsh times.

Dear Tim and Andrea, and Bill, and your Mom (and the rest of your families, whom I do not know personally) - Yesterday, I was shocked and saddened to find out not only about Andrew's passing, but also of Mr. Schweers, Sr.'s passing less than one month ago (I was out of town the second week of January). I will try to make it to the visitation this evening, but if I can't, please know that my heartfelt condolences go out to each of you, and that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Words fall so short at a time like this, but I recently heard a poignant phrase whose simple truth may be of some small solace: "grief is the price we pay for love." Even though I never met him, the other entries resoundingly reflect how beloved Andrew was to so many; I am sure you feel blessed to have had him in your lives. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. Your friend,
Bryan Harding

To the Family --
I was lucky enough to have gotten to know Andrew during my senior year at Quigley, and even luckier to have had him as part of my newspaper staff. He was a warm, intelligent person who always had a smile on his face whenever I saw him, and who could put a smile on anyone's face just by saying 'hello.' I was really glad to know that I'd be seeing him every once in awhile here on Duquesne's campus, and couldn't help but laugh when I found out that we lived in the same building. My heart dropped when I learned that I wouldn't be seeing his smile anymore, especially considering I'd seen him on Friday afternoon and he had greeted me with a warm smile and a "heyyyy girl!," per usual.
I don't know how to fully express my sorrow, and my extreme condolences to all of you, his family, other than to say that losing him is a great loss -- but knowing Andrew, even for as short a time as I had, he would want everyone to keep smiling.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
