Still missed!

I am extremely behind the times in news and just heard today about the death of Andrew. While I didn't know him, I have extremely fond memories of Tom and Pete from fifth grade--and of your family as a whole, and I am so sorry that you have suffered this loss. My prayers will be with you and your whole family.

Andrew was the most beautiful person I have ever met. His wavy thick dark hair along with his twinkling eyes were one of a kind. But it was his smile and gentle nature that made him so special. He was so kind. I will miss him forever!

I had the opportunity of getting to know Andrew when he was a junior at The Kiski School for a short while. He lived down the hall from me and I will always remember how funny he was. I still even have some of the art he did for me. He was a great kid and really inspired me to get into art. He will be greatly missed.

I knew Andrew throughout most of high school and even after but saw him sparingly. When I did, he would make the whole environment light up. Everyone was wearing smiles when he was around. He was such a special and extraordinary human being. I was so sad to hear about our loss. By our loss, I mean all that were blessed to know him. He holds a special place in everybody's heart. I send my deepest condolences to the whole family throughout these harsh times.

Though i only got to know Andrew for about 6 months, he changed my life forever. and i cannot help but feel terrible for being across the country during this time. he truly changed everyone he met for the better. his love for life and others is unparralled to anyone i have ever meet. im truly sorry for the loss best wishes for the future.

Andrew was a very gifted individual and exceptionally smart. My memories go back to ninth grade German class to Mr Harrell's Chemistry class to seeing him in the summertime at Subway when we were both on break from work. He will be missed by all, especially me.

I am so sorry about your loss. i wasent real good friends with andrew. but we came into high school at the same time and i remember seein him in the halls and giving him the causal head nod. he will be missed and all we can hope is that other kids and teenagers can learn from this tragedy.

I was lucky enough to have gotten to know Andrew during my senior year at Quigley, and even luckier to have had him as part of my newspaper staff. He was a warm, intelligent person who always had a smile on his face whenever I saw him, and who could put a smile on anyone's face just by saying 'hello.' I was really glad to know that I'd be seeing him every once in awhile here on Duquesne's campus, and couldn't help but laugh when I found out that we lived in the same building. My heart dropped when I learned that I wouldn't be seeing his smile anymore, especially considering I'd seen him on Friday afternoon and he had greeted me with a warm smile and a "heyyyy girl!," per usual.

I don't know how to fully express my sorrow, and my extreme condolences to all of you, his family, other than to say that losing him is a great loss -- but knowing Andrew, even for as short a time as I had, he would want everyone to keep smiling.

Andrew Schweers was one of my really good friends. I loved him with my entire heart. I was not here this weekend when it happened, but I was supposed to be doing his hair today, so this was a complete shock. I will miss him and remember him forever.
