To the Simonds-
My prayers and love go out to all of you in this most difficult time. Andy was a great friend. I feel blessed that I had the privilege of knowing him, his kind ways, and also knowing his family. Kevin, Alice, Brian and Jessica please know that Andy loved being a brother and son to you all. Andrea, Braeden and little Andy be strong, Andy will always love you.
You will be missed my friend.

Our deepest sympathy to all of you. What a beautiful tribute to Andy. Even though we didn't know Andy that well, we feel we got to know him better over the weekend. All the wonderful words from family and friends, pictures, movies and the moving Memorial Mass. Mark had conversation with Andy at Brian's graduation party, and Mark remembers how interesting, friendly and outgoing Andy was. I remember his smile and funny personality and how excited he was about his upcoming marriage to Andrea. Andy was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother and friend. We will continue to pray for your family during this most difficult time in your lives. If we can do anything to help your family, please let us know.

Andy was my best friend. I have never met a more kind unselfish person in my life. Andy taught me how to treat people with respect in dignity no matter what the circumstances were. He was a true friend, brother, family member, husband, and father.
All of the Simonds are in my prayers, especially Andrea, Braedan, and little Andrew Charles.
Andy will be truly missed by all that have known him.

Alice and Kevin: I was so sorry to hear of your loss. My mother died December 3 so I have also experienced a loss recently. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter and I have drawn on His strength -- as I am sure you have.

I had the pleasure of knowing Andy through my high school years. He always knew how to make me laugh. He will be missed and my deepest condolences to his family and friends.

My condolences to the Simonds family. The great guy that was hinted by in Andy's warm smile and the twinkle in his eye touched the lives of many people and had such a positive impact. So sorry for your loss.

My sympathies to Andy's family. The Andy Simonds I remember was decent and kind off the football field, and tough as nails on it. Andy would run through a wall for his teammates; he was a coach's dream. I often think back to that group of young men with very fond memories. Andy's memory will live on among his teammates and his coaches. God's blessings on his family.

What a wonderful description of Andy. I'm glad they printed it as you wanted and that you ran it in the Decatur paper for those of us not able to be with you. I thank Andy for introducing us and the years we did have together.

I will always remember Andy for his huge smiles and his arms wide open to give out his famous hugs. While we were at Jacobs, our little group of "Nanners" were always held close together because of him. The times we all hung out were some of my fondest memories at that school. I would run into him at U of I and it would always be a smile, a hug, and Andy yelling, "Nanner!" He will truly be missed...

Andy Simonds you will be missed. You are such a great guy and its hard that God took away an amazing human being who touched so many people's lives in so many ways. My deepest Sympathy to your family.

We are sharing this very sad news here at Jacobs...Andy and his siblings were such a joy and well respected. Many of us and our children who attended Jacobs remember him so well.

My condolences to the entire Simonds family. I will always fondly remember Andy as a hard working, honest, young man of integrity. After coaching Andy for several years I had no doubt that he would grow into a man whom his family could be proud of. Andy's family from Algonquin and his new family in Alaska will be in my prayers.

Unbelievable. Even though I did not know Andy that well, I do remember him as a great guy. He will be missed.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Andy. I knew him in High School at HDJ. We had several classes together through out those years and I remember him always smiling and laughing. My prayers and thought are with all of his family, in both Illinois and Alaska, especially his wife and son(s).
