We shall remember Drew as the energetic and interesting person who always had time for others. I first met Drew in highschool , most of the time following him on the back of his Honda, later when I moved to England he followed and helped me build and set up my restaurant before moving on to Israel to work on a kibbutz. Over the years we kept in touch through my parents who he would visit regularly and he would always arrange a reunion of old friends whenever I returned home.

On behalf of the grad class of 1965 from North Van High we mourn the loss of a truly lovely man. Drew attended many of our class reunions and always had great stories to tell of his time in Africa. I personally appreciated sharing a love of Scottish country dance with him and we both took part in the famous Guinness Book of World Records mass dance at SFU (256 people dancing a complex dance together at the same time!) Drew will be missed. Laurel Gurnsey and Tom Bell (Class of '65 NVSSS)

We first met Drew in 1970. Drew was one of those unforgetable people, who soon became part of the family. Sunny, funny, energetic, interesting, adventuresome. He had a good heart and was always willing to help out on any project. He was a best friend to my dear brother Bob Orr, who also passed away too soon. At that time, grieving himself, he was there and supported our family. I am glad he had kindness and loving care to help him through his difficult time.
We will always hold fond memories of these years.

On behalf of the BC Highland Games Organizing Committee , I would like to send our condolences to Drews family. Drew was involved in helping, then running the Whisky tent at the Games . I have known him in that capacity for several years and was always a pleasure to work with. He will be missed and I am so very sorry for your loss.

Drew was a calm and gentle man who had many interests, one of which was Scottish Country Dancing. He loved his dancing and rarely missed a dance party, Burns Supper or formal ball. He was a supportive and very reliable member of the Vancouver Scottish Country Dance Demonstration Team for many years. He also organized the Whisky Tent at the Annual Highland Games for the last few years. If anyone needed help, he was always happy to oblige. Whenever you met Drew you were greeted with a big smile from within the bushy beard, a "Hello, how are ya?" and a hug. He was always an easy-going, interesting and kind person and the three of us will miss his cheery presence.

Watching TV news one evening, to my surprise there was my cousin Drew being interviewed as the expert on wild mushrooms in our area. He was a brilliant guy who could add to your knowledge on just about any subject. His passions were many and his dreams took him on adventures that few would undertake. He was gentle, kind and a wonderful friend to many people over the years. He will be missed.

A unique fascinating man, I will always remember Drew as very interesting, and someone who truly walked his own path. I have a vivid memory of Drew from the very early 70ies at a party we had at my parents home on Queens road in North Vancouver, he was this very cool, long haired guy, who was so different and interesting to talk to, even to his young cousin Patrick. He will be missed.

I thank Drew's family for all the affection for me. We will keep he alive forever. Drew is unique and unforgettable. All his friends will like him forever.
Thank you for all Drew, my very dear Best Friend Ever.
