Dear Sarah, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband, which I just found out about this morning. Please know that loving thoughts are being sent your way, with hopes that you and your family are finding comfort and support from friends and family.

RIP Drew - one of the first Yachties I met when I moved to Annapolis from Baltimore - kind to me as a novice crew member on That Cat - my first down the bay race to Hampton - my thoughts: Gentleman, great Helmsman,Loving husband to Sarah, Always welcoming/inclusive to guests.

My dearest Drew--Thank you again for getting the cannon blank shells; the Hoppn' John party would not have been the same without you and without the cannon. Mercersburg--both my cousins went there and I just visited, on the way to looking at a horse. Wish I had known that. And I trust you and Bill are up there somewhere trading sailing and other CCA stories. And to Sarah and your family--my heart goes out to you. This is just not fair. We didn't get to see Drew very often, but when we did, it was a real pleasure. A Virginia gentleman and a yachtsman of the first order!

Dear Sarah, and all your family: I am so thankful that I was able to meet Drew, even if it was in his last months. My heart goes out to all of you. I will never forget his call to me, thanking me for the "best pie he ever had." I am grateful for the conversations I had with him, especially on New Years Day, when he looked so wonderful! I grew up in Richmond next door to Drew and his family. He was the cutest little boy! And very successful in his adult life with sailing and his other pursuits. He will be greatly missed. Sally Guy Brown
