Services for Walter Andy Ferguson, 72, Tyler, will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Woods Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Sizemore and Dr. Paul Powell officiating.

Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Ferguson passed away Sept. 9, 2012.

He was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Tyler to Walter Anderson and Mary Helen Hale Ferguson.

Mr. Ferguson graduated from Winnsboro High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy upon the USS Mispillion and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Tricia, on June 1, 1963, in Bell Gardens, Calif. He was an insurance claims adjuster and co-owner of East Texas Claims Service. Mr. Ferguson was a member of the NRA and of the Single Action Shooters Society. He was a member of Woods Baptist Church and was an avid Longhorn fan. Mr. Ferguson loved God and his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Ferguson.

Mr. Ferguson is survived by his loving family including his wife of 49 years, Patricia Sanders Ferguson of Tyler; daughters, Pam Reyes and husband Rick of Round Rock, Polly Ludolph and husband Scott of Whitehouse, Jill Armstrong and husband James of Cedar Park, and Juli Looney of Tyler; brother, Phil Ferguson of Mesquite; brothers-in-law, Tommy Sanders of Lake Worth, Larry Sanders and wife Roberta of Garland; grandchildren, Aaron, Austin and Logan Ouchley of Round Rock; Blake, Tanner and Rhett Ludolph of Whitehouse, Lindsey Graham, Laney Mesta and Cassidy Montelongo, all of Cedar Park; and Jacee Looney of Tyler; great-grandson, Kael Ludolph of Whitehouse; aunt, Liz Roberts of Tyler; nephews, Rad and Kevan Ferguson and Marc and Jason Sanders; nieces, Molly Green and Vanessa Pham; and special friends, Bill Fowler, Jim Oxford and Don Cutler, all of Tyler. He is also survived by numerous cousins.

Pallbearers will be Mark Smith, Scott Ludolph, James Armstrong, Rad Ferguson, Kevan Ferguson and Rick Reyes.

Honorary pallbearers will Mr. Ferguson's grandsons.

Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
