Angela Barnett (Messer) Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 2, 2024.
Angela Sue Barnett (nee Messer), born on March 15, 1964, passed away on November 28, 2024, in Kettering, Ohio. Angela leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Blackie" Barnett, her beloved parents, William and Rita Walters, her son, James "Jimbo" Barnett, her sister, Rita Lavone Holbert, and her loyal dog, Duke.

Angela is survived by her children, Randy Kincaid, William "Bear" Messer (Allison), Raymond Barnett (Ashley), Tenessa Trotter (Roger), Sandy Kincaid, and Deanna Chambers. Her family was her pride and joy, and she found immense happiness in her role as a grandmother to sixteen grandchildren: Ryan, Josh, Michael, Randy, Bradley, Cody, Sarah, Jordan, Brayden, Rayleigh, Chloe, Lily, Marley, Alex, Jude, and Willow. Angela's love extended beyond her family to her loyal dog, Daisy Mae, who was a constant companion.

Angela is remembered as a cherished sister and devoted aunt. She is survived by her sisters, Cynthia Messer, Teresa Messer, and Joni Messer, and her brothers, Timothy Messer and William Dale Walters. Angela's nieces and nephews will fondly remember her for her unwavering love and support.

Angela had a passion for the Cincinnati Reds, a team she followed with enthusiasm and dedication. Her love for the game was a reflection of her spirited nature and her ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life. Angela also enjoyed camping and knitting, activities that brought her peace and joy.

Throughout her life, Angela touched the hearts of those around her with her kindness, warmth, and generosity. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life and share cherished memories at a gathering at Pennyroyal Baptist Church in Franklin, Ohio, on December 30, 2024, from 5-7 PM. This event will be an opportunity for all who knew her to come together and reflect on the impact she had on their lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in Angela's honor.

One time she told me to help her dye her hair and I did bc I loved helping her and doing things with her and I went to take my glove off and the dye flew in my eye and she freaked out but it was so funny after.

Angie was a loving, caring person. My sister and i were close, but at times she was sassy and sarcastic. Also a pain in the butt. I wouldn't change her for anything.

I was 5 years old when we moved into the neighborhood. She used to let all of us play at her house in the yard. Then she turned into family after that.

Angie was an excellent softball player and had a big heart for animals. You are so loved!
