Angela Di Fonzo

DI FONZO - Angela Born September 18, 1927 in Campodimele, Italy, passed away on April 28, 2009. Predeceased by her husband Mario in 2004 and her sister Iolanda. She is survived by her children: Eugenia (Biagio), Ernestina (Onorato), Beniamino (Julia); grandchildren: Angelina, Anna, Mario, Michael, Sandra, Alexander and Andrea; great-grandchildren: Trevor, Emily, Emily Ann, Marcus, Daniela and Matthew. She also leaves her brothers Vincenzo, Gerardo, Alfredo, Costantino, Aldo and their families, and her many relatives and friends in Canada and Italy. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit teams and the Evergreen Home Care nurses for their care and compassion. Prayers will be offered Friday, May 1, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 555 S. Slocan Street, Vancouver, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at the Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum, Burnaby, B.C. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the BC Cancer Agency or the Palliative Care Unit, c/o Vancouver Hospital Foundation.
