Angela MORENA Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province on Oct. 22, 2017.
MORENA, Angela (née Potignano)
September 29, 1935 - October 15, 2017
Angela passed away peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital with her husband Antonio and son Frank by her side. Angela was predeceased by her father Francesco, mother Michela, brother Francesco and sister Concetta. Angela was born and raised in Teggiano, Italy, in the Province of Salerno. In August 1957, Mom immigrated to Vancouver to be with Antonio and start their family together. Angela's love and sense of humour will be sadly missed and remembered by her husband of 58 years, Antonio, children Frank (Cindy), Mike (Isabel), Gino, three grandchildren (Haley, Anthony and Julianna), a great-grandson Rico, sisters-in-law Maria and Maria Morena; nieces, nephews and many friends. We want to thank the many medical staff members at Vancouver General Hospital's Acute Care for the Elder ward and the care-giving staff of Villa Carital Seniors Care Community Facility where Angela was a resident these past few years. A Rosary Service followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Vancouver, B.C. The Entombment will follow at The Abbey Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, B.C.
