Angela Graciana "Lena" Scalise

A resident and native of Port Allen, she passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Pointe Coupee Heathcare. She was 94. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, on Friday, July 22, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port Allen, on Saturday, July 23, from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. David Allen. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Roy Cobb; a son and daughter-in-law, J.D. and Peggy Scalise; daughter-in-law, Beverly Scalise; grandchildren, Angela Scalise Angelloz and husband Johnny, John Scalise and wife Lisa, Glynn Scalise, Michelle Scalise Kauffman and husband Ron, Todd Scalise and wife Laurie, Amy Cobb Sacco and husband Tony, Beth and Ben Cobb; 17 great-grandchildren, Jenifer Weber Bargas, Trent and Tyler Angelloz, Erica, Nicole, John D., Casey, Justin, Candace, Dylan and Brooke Scalise, Noelle Riviere Kinberger and husband Devin, Christina and Abby Riviere, Nicholas Kauffman, Mary and Anna Sacco; three great-great-grandchildren, Ethan Bargas, and Grace and Aubree Kinberger; and a sister-in-law, Katie Scalise. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Scalise; son, Basil P. Scalise; parents, Joseph and Anita Garciana; six sisters and four brothers. Pallbearers will be Johnny, Glynn, Todd, Frankie and Basil Scalise and Ben Cobb.
