Angela Whitley Obituary
Ms. Angela Whitley, age 55 of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025. She was born April 16, 1970, in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of Barbara Major Williams and the late Donnie Wayne Whitley.
Angela was a dedicated educator for 29 years who inspired countless students, having taught at Chapel Hill Middle School and was of the Catholic Faith. She found great joy in singing karaoke. A lover of travel, Angela cherished her trips to Myrtle Beach, where she created lasting memories with family and friends. Above all, her greatest love was for her family.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Whitley and Chad Whitley.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Williams; aunts, Pamala Richardson, Sherron Mahs and Stacey McGahey; an uncle, Ben Black; several cousins also survive.
The family will receive friends at Beulah Church of Douglasville on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12 noon until 1:00pm. A memorial service will follow at the church at 1:00pm. A reception will follow the service for family and friends.
