Angelo Evangelo Obituary
Angelo is survived by his two children: Leeann Hellman (Steve) and Joshua Evangelo. He is also survived by his three sisters: Faye Garrett, Dorothy McGlaughon (Bill), and Carol Rowe (John).
Angelo graduated from Wilson High School in 1968, and he was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Marine Corps from 1969 to 1971. He was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Virginia Tech Hokies.
Angelo's family thanks the staff of The Gardens of Virginia Beach and the Intrepid Hospice team for their tender and compassionate care during his illness.
A funeral service will be held at Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, at 12:00 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2023, with Dr. Hal Hostetler officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12 Noon at Loving Funeral Home just before the funeral service. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 2117 London Blvd, Portsmouth VA 23704. Online condolances may be made at www.LovingFuneralHome.com

Carol,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your dear brother. I recently found one of the poems Angelo wrote and it brought back such fond memories of him. May his memory forever be a blessing.
