My late husband, Tom, often spoke of Angelo and family....what hard workers they were, wonderful people...I remember when we all had to go through the Union problem together. I was out of state when I learned about Mr. Iafrate's passing. My heart goes out to his family. He was an amazing man. He had a fantastic sense of humor, a strong conviction of right and wrong and an amazing gift for story telling that sometimes had Dominic and Angelo squirming a little! May he rest in peace and may Jesus heal your broken hearts. Be assured of my continued prayers for all you. God bless you,

KEEP A GO!
Our sincere Condolences for the Iafrate Family ... Angelo was Passionate,Strict work ethic man, who worked like a Work Horse. Had ideas that always became a success and didn't let age be nothing but a number.. He will be always remembered for making a wheel barrel and shovel into a legendary Construction company that it is today. EVERYTIME I spoke with Angelo was usually a Life Lesson and most will agree he left an imprint on your life ..
Stay positive Family and farewell angelo

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,

If there is land balancing or other dirt work to be done in Heaven, I'm sure Angelo is on a backhoe showing the Angels the right way to do it. I was lucky enough to know Angelo for close to 50 years. We enjoyed each other company and we spoke over the phone or in person regularly over the years. I learned a lot from him and sometimes I even managed to teach him something unrelated to construction. Although he quit school in the fourth grade to work on his parents farm in Sora Italy, I think he was one of the smartest people I ever met. Without a doubt he was one of the hardest working you can imagine. He ran a backhoe and a dozer up until the last 6 months of his life even after he needed help on a machine. Angelo was truly one of a kind and he will definitely be missed. To his family, especially his devoted wife Rebecca, I would like to paraphrase the words of Winnie the Pooh and say how lucky we are to have had someone in our lives that makes saying good bye so hard.

Hard work, family and proudness to be born in Italy and being strong in America. He left in my mind these simple principles like a dad talks with his son, thank you forever Angelo. Ill you pray keeping in my mind the time spent with your life lessons till my time goes by. Strong in heaven as you have been among us...

Rebecca and the Iafrate Family,
My sincere and heartfelt condolences to you. This past winter I was blessed to have taken him (and Rebecca) the Blessed Sacrament each month while they was living in North Branch. I enjoyed and looked forward to our time together. He would reminisce about his life in Italy and the importance his faith and his family were in his life. I cherish the memories. God speed to Angelo and Kathy and I will keep Angelo and the family in our daily prayers. Deacon Pete, SS Peter and Paul, North Branch

I have known Uncle Angelo from the time he came from Italy to live with us. He would borrow my typewriter to send letters back home. He was always very good to me and my family. Whenever I told him someone was hurting, he was there to help them. He had a great sense of humor. When I gave him a cassata rum cake for his birthday, he said..."I think they left the rum in the bottle." I will miss my uncle and his kindness very much. May God bless him and his family.
