Angelo Antonio Trapasso, 91, of Lockport, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in Lockport, NY. Born in Moriah, NY, he was the son of the late Antonio Luigi and Maria Antonia (DeFazio) Trapasso. He came to Niagara Falls as a young child with his family and attended local schools. Angelo served in the United States Army during World War II from 1945 until his honorable discharge in 1946. On January 15, 1955 he married Maria Stella (Chiarella) Trapasso at St. Anne's Church in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Angelo was employed at the former Hooker Chemical Company, later known as Occidental Chemical Co., in Niagara Falls, NY for forty years, until his retirement in 1977. Angelo had also worked at the former Frank DeFazio Wholesale and as a bartender at the Niagara Club, both in Niagara Falls. In his leisure time, Angelo enjoyed socializing with his many friends on Pine Avenue. In addition to his wife of fifty-three years, Mr. Trapasso is survived by his two daughters, Maria A. (Francis) Pasquale of Lockport, NY and Rose M. (Andrew) Siedlecki of Clarence, NY; six grandchildren, Anthony, Andrew and Marisa Pasquale, Alexander, Andrew and Adam Siedlecki; one brother, Louis J. (Leota) Trapasso of Wheatfield, NY; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was the brother-in-law of Dominic (Savina) Chiarella of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Tommaso (Barbara) Chiarella of Niagara Falls, NY and Antonio (Gina) Chiarella of Niagara Falls, Ontario. Angelo was also predeceased by one brother, Joseph (Novelle of Beaumont, TX) Trapasso; and one sister, Rose (late Louis) DeSantis. Friends may call on Saturday and Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI and SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will begin on Monday, January 28th at 11:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Robert J. Hora officiating. Entombment with Military Honors will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
