Christine Lightfoot

Mrs. Christine Lightfoot, 97, of Port St. Joe, FL passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019.

Christine was born August 12, 1922 in Gordon, AL to the late Wilkes Murphy and the late Verna Jeffcoat Murphy. She was a member of Oak Grove Church.  Christine was a stay at home mother raising her children and caring for her granddaughter and great grandson. She was an avid gardener and loved fishing and hunting on the Brothers River.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, Earnest Lightfoot; her husband Cy Williams of 19 years; and her brother, Robert Murphy. She is survived by one daughter, Alice J. Martin of Port St. Joe, FL and a son Bobby G. Lightfoot of Florissant, CO; granddaughters, Chris Williams, Christine Mathis and Kelly Lightfoot; great-grandchildren, Austin Williams, Tara Gaskin, Sarah Lightfoot, Aaron Mathis, Daniel Lightfoot and Michael Porterfield; great-great grandchildren “Nana’s Princess” Paisley Williams, Hunter Lightfoot, Haydon Irwin, Arthur Cooney; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM EST, Thursday December 19, 2019 at Oak Grove Church with Deacon Tim Warner and Rev. David Fernandez officiating.  Interment will follow at Holy Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe, FL. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
