Anita Rubio Gomez

Anita was born on July 3, 1935 in Presidio, TX. Anita married the love of her life, Jose Angel Gomez in 1957. The couple settled in Odessa TX in the early 1960's, where they had their four children; Angelita, Elsa, Erma, and Jessica. Anita was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a grandma to her 15 grandchildren. Anita loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She loved to take pictures of everyone that would come to visit and always prayed over them before they left her home. Anita was known for her feisty, yet good sense of humor. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.Anita was the beloved wife of Jose Angel Gomez, devoted mother of Angelita Quiroz , Elsa Cordova & her husband Oscar Sr., Jessica Harper and husband Larry, and the late Erma Mendez and husband Fernando, a loving "Mami" of Norma Lujan, Manuelita Lujan, Alfonso Quiroz, Oscar Cordova, Bernadette Flores, Erika Taylor, Jose Quiroz, Beatrice Aguirre, Paula Harper, Britany Harper, Heather Beaty, Bianca Mendez, Zachary Harper, Daniella Mendez, Taylor Harper, Jude Mendez and Luke Mendez. Anita was also loved by her 28 great grandchildren.The family would like to extend a special thank you Victoria Depass who was greatly loved by Anita and cared for her in her final days.
