Ann Brus Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 21, 2025.
Ann Marie Brus (Anderson), age 66, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Born on May 17, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, Ann was the daughter of Frederick W. and Mary Ann Anderson. She pursued her education at Loyola University of Chicago, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. With dedication and compassion, Ann devoted over 30 years to her career as a dental hygienist, touching the lives of countless patients with her gentle care and professionalism.

Ann was a devoted mother to her three sons: Michael (Jessica) Brus, Matthew (Lauren) Brus, and Andrew Brus. Her love for them was unwavering and evident in every aspect of her life. She also cherished her role as grandmother to Matthew Brus Jr.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister Michelle (James) Carr; nieces Cassandra (Joshua) Sondgeroth, Nikki Stanley, and Raigan Carr; nephew Adrie Baker; and numerous other nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick W. and Mary Ann Anderson; her sister Sharon Anderson; and her brother Frederick M. Anderson.

A woman of quiet strength and deep kindness, Ann found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her love for animals was especially evident in the care she gave to her beloved greyhounds, who were constant companions throughout the years.

Ann's selflessness defined her character; she consistently put the needs of others before her own. Her warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's memory to Midwest Greyhound Adoption in Sugar Grove, IL-a cause close to her heart.

May Ann's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A private graveside service will be held on September 29, 2025 at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL
