ANN CAIN Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 24, 2014.
ANN ROSEMARY CAIN (nee SIMMONS) Our beloved Mum passed away on May 22, 2014, aged 80 after a long battle with the complications of Parkinson's and Dementia, the bulk of which was spent at home in the care of family until her last few weeks. She will be truly missed by Peter, her husband of 56 years, son Tim, daughter Amanda (Sellers) and granddaughter Olivia. She was born in England, survived the WWII Merseyside bombings, became an R.N. and immigrated to Canada in 1957. She was a devoted and caring Mum, worked hard all her life, ending her working career as Administrator of Rockcliffe Nursing Home in Scarborough. The family wishes to thank the staff of Shepherd Village 5th floor station who looked after her with care and compassion at the end and also the Circle of Care PSW staff on daily house visits. Family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E. (east of Kennedy Rd., Scarborough), on Tuesday from 12 to 1 p.m. Funeral Service to follow in the Ogden Chapel at 1 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Society Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
