Naples - Ann Rosaline Mahoney Campbell passed away peacefully at Avow Hospice House in Naples, Florida on March 17, 2026. Ann was born in Bronx, NY where she grew up. She was predeceased by her husband Charles R. Campbell Jr. to whom she was married for 47 years. She is survived by her stepchildren David Campbell (Carole), Marilyn Scullin and Lauren Wilkins, and her sister Eileen Adolff. She was Grannie Annie to grandchildren Jennifer Athanas, Stefanie Wolf, Jeremy Campbell, Gregory Campbell, Courtney Donavan, Zachary Wilkins and James Scullin, and to 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her niece Elizabeth and her husband Douglas who were especially supportive following Charlie's death, and by several nieces and nephews.

Ann graduated from St. Vincent's School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and later obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Salem State College. She held many nursing positions including at Massachusetts General Hospital. Ann joined the Air National Guard on Cape Cod where she was the Chief Nurse for the Unit, eventually retiring as Colonel. It was there that she met Charlie, her future husband. They married in June 1977 and moved to Cape Cod. In 1979, Ann and Charlie moved to Naples, Florida where Ann became active with the League of Women Voters, eventually becoming its President from 1991 to 1993. She also was involved with the court system as an advocate for children. One of Ann's interests was in substance abuse treatment where she worked and volunteered for many years.

Always an avid reader, Ann stayed current in world affairs especially those pertaining to the military. The New York Times Crossword Puzzle was her favorite. You could always count on Ann as having read the latest best seller and she readily recommended books and articles of interest to others.

Ann will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

The family is deeply grateful for the loving and compassionate care Annie received from the staff at Torre Square at Siena Lakes during her time there, and from the staff at Avow Hospice. The family would also like to suggest that donations be made to the charity of your choice with special consideration of Avow Hospice.
