Mrs. Ann M. DiBenedetto

Ann M. DiBenedetto (nee Dacko) age 92 of Bay Village, Ohio passed away on Tuesday March 17, 2015. Ann was best known as "Heady Lady" and the owner of Heady Lady Millinery. In 1967 Ann was crowned Mrs. Cleveland and still holds the title today. Ann had a great love for fashion and hats. She took those talents and began doing talk shows about her personal collection of over 500 hats and the many stories that went along with them. Even presidents and first ladies were wearing her hats. Ann was very passionate about raising money for her favorite charities which included the American Red Cross, Christ Child Society and the Hemophilia Association along with many other organizations. She began doing her fashion hat shows in Cleveland, Palm Beach, and Boca Raton Florida where she would donate all her proceeds. Ann was honored as a woman of achievement at the Northwood Institute of Florida. She has been a member of the Cleveland Fashion Group International for over 50 years and most recently was honored at the fashion week of Cleveland. Ann served on the Advisory Board of Ursuline College and the fashion department of Kent State University. She was very proud of her fight for implementing CPR and Defibrillator Machines in public buildings and golf courses in the greater Cleveland area. Beloved wife of the late Sparky ; loving mother of Patti Corna, Cheryl Wynocker (husband Larry), David (wife Karen), Tony (wife Amanda) devoted grandmother of Robert Corna Jr., Darby Vinciguerra (Tom), Mason Wynocker (Erica), Michael Wynocker (Kira), Anne Pugliese (Tim), Danielle Shellito (Brian), David Jr. , Michael (Ashley), Dante, Eva, and Sparky. Great grandmother of Bella, Drew, Vienna, Thalia, Nadia, Brogan, Leah, Katelyn, Christian, Angelina, David, Bentley, and Joseph. Dearest sister of Irene Cross, Helen Smith (Sam) Richard Dacko (Pam) and the late Marie Ratica, Olga Roborecki , Sylvia Vacha, Special Aunt, and friend to many. Mass of the Christian Burial Saturday March 21, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 410 Lear Road, Avon Lake at 10:00am. Fr. James Beatty of the Church will officiate. Interment following at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Ann on Friday March 20, 2015 at Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake, from 4:00-8:00pm.
