Ann Yanda Garnett, 59 of Franklin, NC passed away on July 19, 2025. She was born on September 12, 1965, in Pittsburgh, Pa and spent her early life there. She attended Wyland Elementary school and Hampton Middle School. She moved to Osprey Fl, where she graduated from Venice High School. She loved to run track and was involved in her youth group at Grace United Methodist Church in Venice. After graduating high school, she went on to graduate from the University of Florida with a degree in psychology. She worked in financial services at Charles Schwab in Orlando and then Wells Fargo in Ashville, NC.

Ann was loved by many people, and she is remembered by her generosity. She would give to anyone; her generosity was immense. She played piano for Wesleyanna United Methodist Church in Sylva NC. She had an infectious laugh and loved to have fun. We often heard her saying, "I'm going to take joy" and "oh golly day". She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson Aiden and his sister Braley.

Ann was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bertha and Frank Yanda and Dorothy and Wilber Herrington, and her father Frank Richard Yanda Jr. She leaves behind her mother Janet Yanda Roberts (Raleigh, NC formerly Venice Fl), her fiancé Bobby Carver (Franklin, NC), her son David Garnett (Greenville, SC), daughter Maddie Garnett (Orlando, Fl), her brother Richard Yanda (Brunswick, GA), sister, Amy (Tom) Smith (Raleigh NC), her grandson Aiden, an Aunt, nieces and nephews.
