Ann Murkland Glass

Born January 23, 1925, Died January 7, 2023. Attended Bryn Mawr College (1946) and graduated from Lehman College in the 1970s with a teaching certificate. Studied dance in the Isadora Duncan school and taught dance in the school headed by Anita Zahn. Married Walter Henry Glass, April 16, 1949, and raised 4 children in Scarsdale, NY. Deeply interested in nature, gardening, sewing, quilting, and knitting as well as literature and music, she sang in several local choruses. She instilled a love and respect for the natural world, and a practical view on combining beauty with function. She is survived by 3 of her 4 children: Martha (Daniel J.) Sullivan, Elizabeth (Jean-Pierre) Poyet and Daniel (Jessica Braus) Glass; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Her son, Adam Glass, passed away in 2019. A Memorial service will be held at the Larchmont Avenue Church, Larchmont, NY on February 11, 2023 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Roxbury Land Trust, P.O.
