Ann Rowe Hawkins died on January 9, 2015 at the age of 94. She was the daughter of Alvan Baker Rowe and Catherine Neil Lemen.
She was married to Tom Colley Hawkins in 1942 and they had a daughter, Martha Hawkins Guidotti. She was predeceased by her husband in 2005.
Ann was a successful realtor in the Venice area working with both Century 21 and Coldwell Banker, several times earning the distinction of top salesperson in the state of Florida.
Prior to moving to Florida in 1967, she worked in real estate in Louisville, Ohio. Her love of people and deep interest in what was important to them made her a true partner in helping them find a home.
Throughout her life and career, her true passion was her family and close friends. She was a positive, interested, and joyful person with an indomitable spirit. She invariably enriched the lives of all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Venice, Florida and a member of the Venice Yacht Club. She was also a gardener, a painter, an avid reader and a seamstress.
She leaves behind her daughter, Martha, her two grandsons, Greg and Ted, their spouses Paige and Sarah and five grandsons, Thomas, Peter, William, Ellis and Theo.
A memorial service will be held at the chapel of the Ewing Funeral Home in Venice, Florida at eleven am Saturday, January 17th.
Friends may make contributions in her memory to the Venice Hospital.
