When you were with Ann you did not miss a thing. She really knew how to stop and smell the roses. I enjoyed so many venues with her.

To the Kalef family:
I was sad to hear from Joe that Ann had passed away and I'm sorry I couldn't be there to pay my respects personally. As I thought about Ann and the amazing life she led, I couldn't help but remember back to when I first met her. It was when I was just starting university back in the early 80's and it is absolutely right to say that I had never met anyone like her, and don't think I have since. She was hip! She was fun! She was the life of the party! She had a swimming pool on the roof! She was a style icon! And she was 70. She had such a vivaciousness about her that you couldn't help but be drawn to her. I admired her devotion to her family and friends. I marvelled at her shoe collection. She was an inspiration to me and I will always remember her that way. And now I will imagine her in one of her outfits with Ralph in one of his ties, dancing away at that big party in the sky. xo
