Ann Miler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 6, 2025.
Ann Louise Miler, 70, of San Mateo, CA, peacefully passed away on March 10th.

Born in 1954 in South San Francisco, Ann was the youngest child of John and Norma Prouty. She graduated from El Camino High School and began a successful career in the airfreight forwarding industry, working for several companies, with her most recent position being at UPS in Sacramento.

Ann lived in Loomis, CA, for 18 years, on a beautiful property with a barn and pond where she nurtured her passion for animals. Her family included her beloved horse, dogs, cats, goats, and ducks. She was passionate about caring for them, as well as riding her horse and cycling. Later in life, she moved to Orangevale before eventually settling in San Mateo.

Known for her infectious laugh and warm heart, Ann was deeply involved in her church and her assisted living community, where she formed many lasting connections.

Ann is survived by her partner, Doug Yeomans; her sister-in-law, Jeannie Prouty; nieces Maryann Baumgarten and Melissa Prouty Thompson; nephew-in-law, Mark Baumgarten; great-nieces Kayla Baumgarten and Siena Thompson; great-nephew Josh Baumgarten; as well as other family members, friends, and her dedicated hospice care team. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, John and James Prouty.

Ann was laid to rest on April 2nd at Holy Cross Cemetery. If you would like to make a donation in Ann's memory, please consider Kaiser Hospice, Redwood City:

...and I've seen fire and I've seen rain...I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end...I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend...but I always thought that I'd see you...one more time again...
