Anne was a member of The Church and Synagogue Library Association. I "hitched" a ride with her to the national conference in Bryn Mawr PA - it was my first conference and she was an very good guide. I enjoyed her company both for the ride and as a roommate. For years Anne presented a feature at our annual meetings called "Books in Brief". It was always a highlight of those meetings for me. I was in awe that she could not only read so much in one year, but that she could put brief review for about 20 books into a 20 minute presentation. Every thought of Anne has brought a smile to my face until the day I learned that she was no longer able to work in her library or lead book discussions for the groups she read with.

Mrs. Penman was a wonderful woman. I have many fond memories of time spent at the library at FUMC discussing our mutual love of books and reading. Infact, it was Mrs. Penman who first introduced me to my favorite author, Alice Walker. Mrs. Penman treated me like a person, not a child, which I always appreciated. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We have so many wonderful memories with Ann, Bill and the entire Penman family. Sorry that we are unable to come and share our thoughts in person. May the blessings of God continue to be with each of you in the years ahead. Love to you all. Dave and Jan

Dear Molly, my prayers are with you and the family at the passing of your beloved mother. I know you will miss her greatly. Your Mom is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and singing praises to him. I am thankful that our loving God has prepared such a wonderful place for us after we leave this world. We can rejoice that we will see our loved ones again in heaven. May you feel God's comforting presence at this difficult time. I wish I could be there with you to give you a big hug.
