Ann Ross Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 4, 2025.
Ann Marie Ross passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, in Riviera Beach, Florida. Born on October 29, 1946, she lived a life marked by deep faith, unwavering devotion to her family, and a heart full of song.

Ann shared 59 cherished years of marriage with her beloved husband, Samuel Herbert Ross. Together they raised three children: Angela (Mauricio) Barajas, Christopher (Amy) Ross, and Jeremy (Amanda) Ross. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren-Shelby (Brandon) Stephens, Hayley (Michael) Baranet, Samuel Ross, Kayla (Derrick) Hawthorne, James (Glady) Ross, Isabella Ross, Bennett Ross, Janna Ross, and Eliana Ross-and great-grandchildren Christopher, Charlotte, Halibel, and Hope.

She was the daughter of the late John and Lois McLachlan and is also preceded in death by siblings Patricia McLachlan and Mark McLachlan; and her parents-in-law Frank and Dorothy Ross. Ann is lovingly remembered by her siblings Gail (Duane) Frens, Beth (Larry) Erlandson, Mary (Dave) Holtz, Bruce (Cindy) McLachlan, and J. Michael (Beth) McLachlan; sisters-in-law Sandy (Carroll) Vinson, Debbie (Ron) Taylor, and Donna (Steve) Hooley; 18 nieces and nephews. She leaves behind 39 great nieces and nephews and 8 great great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law Karen Roeche.

Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her love for her family was only surpassed by her love for her Savior. Whether singing in church choirs or around the home while caring for loved ones, Ann's voice lifted praises to God throughout her life-and even in her final days.

Her family will gather to celebrate her life in Michigan later this summer.

So sorry to hear about Ann´s promotion to glory. We were friends from First Church West in Plantation. She was beautiful inside and out with a great sense of humor and very devoted to her dear family. A woman of great faith in the Lord Jesus.

Eating out with her and Sam was always special. She added a special joy to each occasion. Danny and Suzanne will miss her at each even with grandchildren. She is more alive now than before.

I'm so thankful that she loved me like I was her own daughter. She leaves such a hole here on earth, but I am so thankful that she is whole and healthy and with Jesus now...singing praises to our Lord in Heaven.
