Ann Schalcosky

Ann Schalcosky, 93 years old, passed away Feb. 21, 2016 at Heather Hill, Chardon. Born in Avella, Washington County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Biro) Plesnick.
She was a loving mother, aunt, and friend, and was the best cook and baker. She loved to crochet and made the most beautiful afghans for family and friends. She loved watching the Cleveland Indians and NASCAR racing, listening to her polka music on the radio. She was a longtime contributor to the VFW. She had been employed at Fisher Body and
Davis Bakery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vincent Wilson Joseph Schalcosky; her sisters, Helen Cardinale, and Mary Miller; nephew, Benjamin Terlecki Jr., and niece, Carole Jean Devereaux.
Ann is survived by her loving daughter, Marcia Schalcosky; son, Dr. Thomas Schalcosky (Daniana); 2 step grandchildren; 4 nieces, and many grand nieces and grand nephews.
Arrangements were made by John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, Latrobe, Pa., services were held at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Bradenville, Pa., interment was on Feb. 26, 2016 at SS Simon and Jude Cemetary, Blairsville, Pa.
