Ann Wills Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 25, 2024.
Ann Wills, 92, of Fountain Inn South Carolina, passed away on January 6, 2024. Ann was born April 2,1931 in Savannah, Georgia to Kathryn Irene Wills and grew up in Fountain Inn. After attending Mary Washington College, she worked for Eastern Airlines. She lived as an adult in New York, Atlanta, Greenville, SC and Greenwood, SC before returning to live in Fountain inn. After retiring from Eastern Airlines, she retired from two additional careers; Ann worked as a psychiatry office manager and as a librarian in Fountain Inn.

Although never married, Ann was loved by many. Those closest to her include the daughters of her stepbrother Ramsay Hawkins: Kathi Dunn, Beth Hawkins-Bradley and Susan Kelly; and her step-cousin James Armstrong, son of Pete and Mary Alice Armstrong. Ann considered them, their spouses, children and grandchildren to be her family.

Ann's family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. She will be remembered for her kind nature, love for animals, and enthusiasm for movies and books. She was a talented artist and lifelong learner. She inspired and challenged everyone who knew her.

Memorial donations may be made to the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee.
