Anna Hornberger Obituary

Anna M. (Goodhart) Hornberger, 89, of Shillington, died on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the Reading Hospital.

She was the widow of Luther N. Hornberger.

Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Katie (Keffer) Goodhart.

She graduated from West Reading High School. She owned and operated the Hornberger Barber and Beauty Shop in Shillington until the time of her death.

Surviving are four children: Tom, husband of Kathy Hornberger; Barbara (Hornberger), wife of John Frankhouser; Diane (Hornberger), wife of David McCarty and Deborah (Hornberger), wife of David Smith.

Other survivors include 14 beloved grandchildren, Kimberly, John III, Sean, Eric, Jason, Kevin, Jennifer, Colin, Kyle, Kasie, Tom, Michael, Jamie and Heather.

Seven Great Grandchildren: Kirstin, Erin, Connor, Jared, Jake, Ace and Cash.

We will miss her spunk, humor and most of all her “good hart”.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a call upon the family on Thursday, May 10, 2007, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, PA.

Service and Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Reading Hospital School of Nursing, Development Fund, P.O. Box 16052, Reading, PA 19612.

The Hornbergers are part of my wonderful memories of growing up in Shillington,PA. I'll always remember my flat top hair cuts by Mr.Hornberger and the occasional cookies by Mrs. Hornberger. Simple but great times!

To The Family of Anna Hornberger,
My Dad called me this morning to tell me of your Mother's passing. I will always remember your Mother & Dad as being wonderful, warm, caring people who everyone in Shillington only had fine things to say about them. Diane and Tom I remember playing with you when we were small children. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to all of you.

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. We will always keep you in our hearts. We love you.
