Anna KUCHINSKI Obituary

KUCHINSKI, Anna (nee Hayzel) April 10, 1923 Passed away from this life on June 15, 2002 at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre. Her dignity and courage throughout her six-month struggle with cancer will be remembered by all those who attended to her and visited her during her hospital stays. She was surrounded by her devoted husband Don and loving children, daughter Deborah and son Donald of Calgary, son John of Airdrie and son Russell of Edmonton at the time of her peaceful passing. She is survived by her daughters-in-law Don (Daphne) of Calgary; son Russell (Mona) of Edmonton and son-in-law David (Deborah) Taras of Calgary. Anna is also survived by son Robert (Kim) of Calgary and brothers Jack and Steve of Dapp. Ann was very devoted to and proud of her grandchildren Amanda Kuchinski of Calgary, Kevin Kuchinski of Calgary, Michael and Daniel Biggs of Calgary, and Kent and Kaleigth Kuchnski of Airdrie. She will also be missed by step-grandsons Mathew and Joel Taras of Calgary and brother-in-law Ken of Edmonton; niece Eileen in Toronto; nephew Edward in High River; and cousin Joe Holly in New Jersey. Anna was predeceased by her father Steven Hayzel and by her mother Eva Holly Hayzel. Ann loved living on the farm where she enjoyed gardening and her flowers, and when her daily walks took her by the animals. She particularly enjoyed her winter home in the desert where she pursued her passions of swimming, golf and painting. A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Special thanks to the staff of the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre whose outstanding care was appreciated by Anna and family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton.
