REIDSVILLE — Anna Rutledge Pratt Robertson, 87, of 1831 Hwy 87, went to be with her Lord on Saturday (March 23, 2013) at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 at Lowe's United Methodist Church and burial will follow in Ridge-View Cemetery in Eden.
A native of Rockingham Co., she was a daughter of the late James Edward and Naomi Bennett Rutledge and she had lived in Eden before moving to the Williamsburg Community in 1992. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills and was a member of Lowe's United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the Doc Pearson Sunday School Class and she served on the Mission Committee, and she was preceded in death by her Husbands: Thomas Taylor Pratt and Paul Robertson, and by Brothers: Herbert Rutledge and Wilbur Rutledge. Anna was known throughout Rockingham County for her love of people, kindness to others, cream-style corn, love of her family, friends and the Lord. Sharing a wonderful life in the country with her first husband, Tom Pratt, they reared five children with whom they shared their love of life. After Tom's sudden death at a young age, Anna married "Tobacco-Man" Paul Robertson and inherited a new family and set of friends, with whom she shared a close bond. Anna had an avid love for fishing, blueberry picking, "yard -selling", card-playing and traveling. With her family and friends, she created a warm and wonderful life for those who knew and loved her. She will always be remembered for her warmth, wit, cooking, unconditional love and faithful friendship.
Surviving are Children: Eddie & Joan Pratt of Cary, Thomas Jr. and Joan Pratt of Eden, Alan & Carolyn Pratt of Eden, Ann Pratt of Eden, & Doug and Teresa Pratt of Garner. Step-son: Edd Robertson of Reidsville. Sisters: Margaret Reeves of Eden, Lillie Purdy of Eden, Doris Spain and husband: Jay of Eden, & Eunice Smith of Reidsville. Grandchildren: Eddie Jr. and Heather Pratt, Kris and Tara Pratt, Sean Pratt, Jennifer Hankins, Beth Boothe, Clay and Brittany Pratt, Eric and Kala Pratt, Heather and Donnie Robertson, Jason Cranford, Kristen and Paul Cheadle, Jason Robertson, and Doug and Erin Robertson. Great-Grandchildren: Erin, Annie & Griffin Pratt, Lenore & Emily Pratt, Caleb Hankins, Gabriel & Hunter Boothe, Amariah, Sheldon & Lucas Pratt, Wyatt & Ambree Robertson, & Taylor & Tate Robertson.
The family will see friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday March 24, 2013 at Citty Funeral Home and from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Monday March 25, 2013 at Lowes United Methodist Church and at other times, they will be at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to either: Anna Pratt Robertson Scholarship Fund, 1948 Price Road, Eden, NC 27288 or Lowe's United Methodist Church, 3171 NC Hwy 87, Reidsville, NC 27320.

Dear Eddie, Thomas, Alan, Ann and Doug, My thought and prayers are with you all in losing your mother. She was a wonderful person. I always loved seeing her and talking to her at the Pratt reunions. Allen, so sorry to hear about your mother. Anna lived across the road when I lived on price road years ago but I remember her more when I bowled at the Draper Lanes with her and her sisters. To Eddie,Thomas, Alan, Ann & Doug, It was with great sorry that I read of the passing of your Mother. I remember her from our childhood days on the Price Rd. She was a saint then and a bigger SAINT now. You all have the condolences and Prayers of the Grant family.

I AM SO SADDENED TO HEAR OF ANNA'S PASSING, SHE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE.VERY GENTLE & KIND PERSON. ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO SEEING HER.
