We will miss Kitty's smiling face and tender hearted spirit. She always brought such an amazing warmth and love to wherever she went. By God's amazing grace, she is in heaven now next to her sweet husband and that warms our hearts.
Our lives were blessed to have known Kitty and spent time with her.

To Michael, Nancy and Larry;
I was told of your mom’s passing yesterday and I can only tell you how sorry I was to hear of it and also of the fond memories that came to me as I recalled growing up in the neighborhood with yours and all the other families that have since moved on. It was a time when it seemed like everyone was helping to raise everyone else’s children. Both your mom and dad were a part of that special group of “parents”. Because of your mom and dad and all the others that I grew up with I have been richly blessed.

We are so saddened by Kitty's passing, but treasure the memories of her faithful Christian service to others, to SMBC and wonderful witness for her Lord. Always smiling, never an unkind word about anyone, she was a joy and inspiration to be around. We will miss her presence here, but glory in her presence "THERE".
Our condolences to her family.

I had the pleasure of working with Kitty for 5 years at Park National Bank - She was one of the most wonderful people I ever met - a shining example of what a christian should be! My condolences to your family and friends you will be missed.

I met Kitty while visiting South Main. She left a lasting impression on me. As I read her obituary, I was reminded of her faithfulness to our Lord, as well as her love for South Main. My prayers are with you, her family.

On behalf of the Gettys family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. There are so many of us "2nd generation" SMBC'ers who have inherited a Christ centered legacy from our parents and their dear friends! The Gettys boys (and our now our wives) have been loved unconditionally our entire lives by the Horton family. I am thankful today and challenged to continue to invest in life-long friends!

Words can not express how I feel about the death of Kitty. She was such a dear friend. She often would do the driving to our Bridge days and Coterie meetings and we would have opportunity to talk. She loved all sports and was an avid follower. She loved her family dearly. I am a better person for having known such a wonderful Christian.
Love from Sarah Cole.

I saw Mrs. Horton just a couple of months ago, and she was as cheerful and upbeat as ever. She seemed surprised that I took the time to reintroduce myself and speak to her, but the other members of the Reba Class and she were always such good friends to Mom that it was an opportunity that I could not pass. The world is a better place for her having been here. May God bless her family during this time of loss.

Dear Family,
South Main Baptist Church was such the better place having contained the life and work of Kitty Horton. Her gracious love for all was an inspiration. She exemplified Christ's love in the Reba Class, SMILE, MainStreamers and worship.

I am grateful that I knew Kitty.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom. I was just an 'elevator' friend of Kitty, but she was always so friendly and sweet. My prayers are with you.
