I cannot believe it will be one year since Anya left us suddenly. She has visited me several times in my dreams if only for a moment.
In November of 2023, my cat Cali who Anya formed a close bond with passed away due to kidney disease. It gives me comfort knowing that Anya´s baby girl (as she called her) is with her wherever they both may be.
Sending all the love to the Steesy family and may we all heal together.

I am blessed to have known Anya and will cherish the memories of her as a precocious little girl and the lovely young lady she became. It reminds me we are not promised tomorrow. This is not our home God awaits and Jesus Christ is the answer .

We share your grief, there is no greater pain than the loss of a child. We pray for you, for Anya, that God gives you the strength to continue the road.

Few years before my girls were Anya's flower girls, she was mine :) When Guillaume and I think about Anya it's the first image that pops up in our minds. This lovely little flower girl, so serious during the ceremony (picture) but so energetic and fun after! She was laughing so hard. Dmitry was teasing her and she'd say "It's not funny!" very seriously and then burst into laughters again...
We love you Anya, you are forever in our hearts.

I will never forget the times that Cathy, Anya, and myself golfed together with Cathy's neighbor/friend. Cathy and her friend must have had their ball land on each others ball a dozen times in one round and we all rolled laughing the entire round. It was uncanny. Cathy asked me to work with Anya to help her improve at golfing. So I met Anya and we were hitting golf balls at North Conway CC driving range. I was explaining to Anya the art of the "flop shot". Apparently I wasn't too bad at it and she was wanting to try it. I told her once she was confident enough, she could hit it over someone. She said, "I'm not going to do that." I explained to her she could and I said, "Look, I'll show you, it's easy." She was concerned but allowed me to try to hit it over her head. Would you know it, over-confidendly, I hit the ball and it came out a little low and of course, "whap!" it hit her. I wasn't ever too sure if she was hurt or not but I was embarrassed and felt terrible for it. I began apologizing profusely. For weeks after though, she wouldn't let me live it down. She would mention it time and time again and ask me if I had gotten any better at the "flop shot". She enjoyed my embarrassment about it and watching me agonize over it. I still feel bad about it today. But to the enjoyment of Anya, I still believe. Anya, I hope you're still enjoying my embarrassment about that "exemplary golf shot". -Much love.

Life is so unfair to steal Anya from you. We hope that the memory left by Anya, your faith and your hope will help you to bear this loss. The sun can stop shining. Birds can stop singing. Flowers can stop fragrant. But nothing will prevent us from loving her because in wonderland one day we will find her... We are far away but our hearts are united with you in this pain. We love you very much. Sylviane, Franck, Charles and Richard Levarlet Patti

We are very sad to hear of the passing of Anya! She was a dear sweet girl, and I remember being her teacher for many years at the Josiah Bartlett elementary school. She was a stand out in academics, and always kind. We pray she has found peace.

Oh Anya, where do I even begin? You were not just a sister to me, but the absolute best one I could have ever asked for. When I mustered up the strength to share the heartbreaking news of your passing on Facebook, there were over 290 comments, and dozens of emails and messages. I don't think you realized how deeply cherished you were by so many, and how truly irreplaceable you are. The pain of losing you has left us devastated.
The other day, I thought of a funny memory from Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandma had asked us to help out weeding her garden. Armed with pruning shears and hand pruners, we embarked on our little adventure. But, we were just children, with no inkling of a green thumb, clueless about distinguishing flowers from weeds. With enthusiasm and gusto, we set out to uproot anything in our path, regardless of its weed or plant identity. We were so proud of ourselves until Grandma emerged from the house, aghast and shocked. I can still hear her, "You've destroyed my azalea bush!" It was the look of genuine concern you shot me that I will never forget. And as the years passed, whenever one of us made a mistake, we would randomly shout, "You've destroyed my azalea bush!" and burst into laughter.
Rest easy, my sweet sister. Please watch over Papa, Mama, and I from above. The hole your absence has left in our lives is immeasurable. We are shattered knowing that now we are only three. I love you.

I had the pleasure of falling in love with Anya in 2015, we remained together until 2020. She will always have a place in my heart and will be missed. This picture is from when she and I took the rail car to the top of Mount Washington in New Hampshire.
We remained in touch and stayed best friends. During her Appalachian trail adventure we talked when she´d take a Zero miles day and I could hear the glow of excitement in her voice.
I shared in her disappointment of when she couldn´t finish. We had plans of reconciliation, to nurture our friendship into something more. I too encourage you to donate to mental health awareness and add that she always wanted to support fallen police offices associations as well.
I will miss her deeply.
